We are looking for a friendly and reliable Food Service Assistant to join our catering team.

This is a customer-focused role supporting food service operations, food preparation, hospitality, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and serve food and beverages.
  • Assist with basic food preparation, including sandwiches, salads, and hospitality items.
  • Set up, replenish, and maintain food service and hospitality areas.
  • Operate tills and process payments where required.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, equipment, and workstations.
  • Assist with deliveries, stock control, and food safety procedures.
  • Support hospitality events and wider catering operations as needed.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Previous catering, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Positive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety practices is desirable.

This is a hands-on role that involves standing for extended periods and supporting a fast-paced catering operation.
