Contract: 5 days over 7. We are seeking a motivated and reliable Chef de Partie to join our large, well-established catering team at Beachley Barracks. This is a great opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a structured, professional environment and takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality meals.
Salary: £14.65 per hour | 37.5 hours per week
Working Hours & Service Times
- You will work on a 5-over-7 rota, with shifts planned around the following service times:
- Breakfast: 07:00 – 07:45
- Lunch: 12:30 – 13:15
- Evening Meal: 16:45 – 17:30
- Weekend Brunch: 10:00 – 12:30
- Weekend Evening Meal: 16:45 – 17:30
Shift Patterns
- Early Shift: 06:00 – 14:00
- Late Shift: 10:00 – 18:00
- Weekend Shift: 10:00 – 18:00
You will be working as part of a large team of approximately 40 staff, offering excellent support and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality meals in line with service and Company standards.
- Take ownership of your designated section, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency at all times.
- Support senior chefs with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, health, and safety.
- Assist with stock control, food rotation, and effective allergen management.
- Work efficiently across all shift patterns to ensure smooth service delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a similar role (Chef de Partie or equivalent).
- Culinary qualifications desirable (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for great food and delivering quality service.
- Flexible, reliable, and able to work both early and late shifts.
