Location: Longmoor Camp
Salary: £15.25 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week (full-time, site-based)
Shift Pattern: 5 days over 7, mixture of earlies and lates

About The Role

We’re looking for two skilled and motivated Chefs to join our catering team at Longmoor Camp, part of the ESS – Compass Group.

You’ll be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals for around 400 Service Personnel, working across two kitchens on-site as part of a strong team of 16.

This is a full-time, site-based role offering a balance of early and late shifts in a busy, rewarding environment.

Shift Details

  • Early Shift: 05:00 – 13:30
  • Late Shift: 10:30 – 19:00
  • Pattern: 5 days over 7

Meal Service Times

  • Breakfast: 07:00 – 08:00
  • Lunch: 12:00 – 15:00
  • Evening Meal: 17:00 – 18:00

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience in a previous high-volume catering or chef role – essential
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude
