What You’ll Be Doing
- Strategic Leadership
- Support the development and delivery of the national Healthcare Cleaning Strategy.
- Serve as a subject matter authority on NHS National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness, HTM, IPC protocols and all regulatory guidance.
- Shape operational models, bids, and mobilisation plans to enhance compliance and competitive advantage.
- Translate national policy and clinical guidance into practical, workable cleaning procedures.
- Build strong partnerships with Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) leads across healthcare contracts.
- Operational Excellence
- Drive improvements in productivity, consistency, and quality of cleaning delivery.
- Support labour optimisation and data‑led performance programmes.
- Conduct site audits, benchmarking, and compliance reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
- Embed measurable cleaning outcomes aligned to NHS standards and client expectations.
- Innovation & Technology
- Evaluate and introduce new cleaning technology, automation, robotics, and digital systems.
- Promote digital performance monitoring and compliance reporting.
- Champion innovation that enhances safety, efficiency, and environmental impact.
- ESG & Sustainability
- Support ESG goals, including responsible chemical usage and sustainable cleaning models.

- Ensure adherence to IPC, Health & Safety, and environmental legislation.

- Brand & Client Engagement

What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in healthcare cleaning management within FM, NHS, or specialist cleaning environments.
- In‑depth knowledge of NHS National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness, IPC, HTM, and healthcare audit frameworks.
- Proven ability to deliver excellence, compliance, and innovation in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in productivity optimisation, workforce modelling, and digital cleaning technologies.
- Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Understanding of ESG and sustainability within healthcare or FM.
Desirable Qualifications
- Professional qualifications in cleaning science, healthcare environment management, or IPC (e.g., BICSc, RSPH, City & Guilds, ISSA).
