ESROE has vacancies in their small company of experts working in the area of Electronic Warfare, in particular, the area of Electronic Surveillance Measures (ESM) and Radar Identification.

The successful applicant/s will be involved in the development of ESROE's MicroESM system/s and associated software applications. The roles are varied and can be biased towards software development or hardware tasks depending on skills and experience.

Work may include a variety of software development projects, investigations into current performances, further algorithm development, user interface design and development, data analysis, writing software documentation, preparation of releases for customers, system testing and customer support. There is also the potential to work on some of ESROE's other key products, that of its artificial intelligence software for radar classification and for radar identification performance analysis.

The hardware tasks require having general electronic engineering skills and firm radio frequency (RF) engineering knowledge or experience. Work may include bench and field testing of the current product, including the development of test signal generation and test environments plus analysis of the results achieved. Tasks may also involve work to support new ESM receiver products.

There is the opportunity for short trips away in the UK and abroad with the team participating in hardware and software trials and demonstrations.

ESROE are looking for someone who is driven, creative, has strong mathematical skills, has exceptional attention to detail, has excellent team working skills and can also confidently work independently. Work is office based and these roles are not suitable for remote or hybrid working. Due to the nature of this position, we require you to have, or be willing and eligible to achieve SC clearance. The work requires you to be a Sole UK National.

Essential:
  • You must have an excellent honours degree in a relevant subject such as Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or similar.
  • You must have studied, or have practical/industry experience of software development.
  • You must have a strong interest in Defence Technology.
  • You must have a strong interest in gaining good knowledge of ESM, its software and hardware.
  • You must have a strong desire to work in a small company.
  • You must have excellent ability to learn new skills with minimal supervision.
  • You must have the ability to be persistent and thorough in investigative tasks.
