The University of Surrey's School of Psychology invites applications for several Lecturer or Senior Lecturer positions from outstanding academics with the ambition to contribute to a dynamic, research‑intensive, and collaborative academic environment. Successful candidates will join a flourishing School comprising over 100 academics and demonstrating excellence in research, teaching, and innovation.

We welcome applications from candidates with emerging or established international research reputations, supported by strong publications and grant success (or a strong potential based on the career stage), in any area of psychology. In line with our strategic priorities, we are particularly keen to appoint colleagues with strong statistical expertise (big data, longitudinal modelling, sophisticated machine learning approaches etc.) and research profiles that build on current strengths of the School, faculty, and university.

The University of Surrey is a top‑20 UK university, located on a beautiful campus approximately 30 minutes from London. The University hosts a number of internationally recognised centres and institutes, including the Institute of People‑Centred AI, Institute for Sustainability, the Surrey Space Institute, the Surrey Sleep Research Centre, and the Centre of Excellence on Ageing within the United Nations‑affiliated Global Initiative on Ageing (GIA). About You: Candidates should demonstrate a strong and developing research profile appropriate to career stage, evidenced by high‑quality publications and a trajectory of research funding and innovation activity. We particularly encourage applications from colleagues with interests in knowledge exchange, impact, and innovation. Successful applicants will be engaging and reflective teachers, contributing creatively to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision, and will play an active role in the academic life, leadership, and citizenship of the School.
