We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Residential Care Practitioner to join our team, one of our specialist residential homes supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities This is much more than a job in care. You will play an important role in creating a safe, stable and nurturing home where young people can develop confidence, build positive relationships and achieve their potential. Our approach is centred around creating a genuine family environment. We provide structure, consistency and boundaries, while making sure every young person is treated as an individual and supported according to their needs. About the role As a Senior Residential Care Practitioner, you will be a key member of the care team and will take an active role in the day-to-day running of the home. You will support young people with their daily routines, personal development, education, activities and relationships, helping them to experience as much of a positive and fulfilling childhood as possible. You will also provide leadership and support to other members of the team, helping to maintain consistently high standards of care. What we're looking for We are looking for someone who is warm, resilient, dependable and genuinely passionate about working with children and young people. You will ideally have previous experience working in a children's residential setting, particularly with young people with Learning Disabilities, although we are also interested in hearing from experienced care professionals who can demonstrate the right values, attitude and transferable skills. We are looking for someone who: * Has experience of working with children or young people in a care, residential or support environment. * Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child-centred practice. * Can build strong professional relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries. * Is confident working as part of a team and taking responsibility on shift. * Can remain calm, patient and consistent in challenging situations. * Is organised and able to complete accurate records and documentation. * Has excellent communication skills. * Is willing to learn and develop professionally. * Understands the importance of providing consistency, structure and routine. * Above all, genuinely wants to make a positive difference to a young person's life Apply now, we can't wait to hear from you
