About the Role:
Highway Services are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join an ambitious and innovative team. The team has a central role in delivering transport projects that support the delivery of the Council’s Carbon Neutral 2028 Plan and other economic and environmental strategies. The post offers the opportunity to support the team in the delivery of new highway schemes within Nottingham, with an estimated turnover of £10 million per annum. The role will be responsible for leading a team on undertaking highway operations on sites throughout the city.
About You:
- Hold a Class One or Class Two HGV License
- Experience in road construction, maintenance, and use of tools/machinery
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CSCS card, NVQ, Street Works certification)
- Strong understanding of health & safety and traffic management
- Good physical fitness for manual outdoor work in all weather
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
- Flexibility for shifts, overtime, and travel between sites
