We are looking for a motivated and hands-on IT Helpdesk Technician to support users across a fast-paced multi-site business environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, working with technology, and delivering a high standard of support to end users across offices, warehouses, and operational environments. This is not a repetitive call centre style helpdesk role, and instead, we are looking for someone who takes ownership, enjoys learning, and wants to build a long-term career within IT.

This is a permanent full time position which is fully office based at our head office in Tamworth.

Main Duties

  • Serving as the first point of contact for IT support across the business
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support via phone, email, remote support, and in person
  • Take ownership of incidents and requests through to resolution, escalating where required
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Support Windows 11 desktop and laptop environments
  • Build, configure, and deploy end user devices and peripherals
  • Support user account administration within Active Directory and Entra ID
  • Assist with Intune device enrolment, compliance, and deployment support
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, printing, connectivity, and access issues
  • Support warehouse operational devices including scanners, printers, and label devices
  • Maintain accurate documentation and update the IT knowledge base where required
  • Ensure all work is logged and updated within the IT ticketing system
  • Support endpoint security standards including MFA, device compliance, and antivirus controls
  • Assist with software installations, patching, and system updates
  • Support office moves, desk setups, and hardware deployments across sites
  • Travel across group sites where required, sometimes at short notice
  • Support the wider IT team during peak periods and major incidents
  • Participate in out-of-hours support rotation where required
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and customer focused approach at all time

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Passion for technology and a drive to further develop that interest
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications, Windows 10 / Windows 11 and IT ticketing systems
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory and Entra ID
  • Understanding of endpoint security and MFA
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting warehouse environments
  • Experience with Intune and device management
  • Exposure to networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Relevant IT qualifications or certifications
