This is a unique opportunity for a student or recent graduate with an interest in consumer and sensory science, supported by a good understanding of food science, to help bridge the gap between the instrumental data generated during food product development and the way consumers perceive, like and choose products. Working alongside food scientists and specialist data analytics and AI teams, the intern will gain practical experience in connecting objective product measurements with consumer perception and preference. The project will involve analysing existing datasets, supporting consumer research, identifying drivers of liking and differences between consumer groups, and translating technical findings into clear and commercially relevant insights for R&D, commercial and marketing teams. This is an interdisciplinary opportunity combining food science, sensory and consumer research, quantitative analysis and emerging data/AI approaches.
