Tasks
- Support the planning, tracking and delivery of tooling and manufacturing projects.
- Analyse production and process data to identify opportunities for improvements.
- Work with supply chain partners to support their entire engineering projects.
- Tool build, assembly, repair and validation activities to develop an understanding of injection moulding technologies and best practice.
- Research and evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies and present findings.
- Collaborate with customer engineers, universities and academic partners on process improvement, manufacturing innovation and technical development initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to apply their knowledge within a fast-paced engineering environment while contributing to operational excellence and innovation. Mentored throughout by the Technical Director and experienced engineering team, you will gain hands-on experience in project management, manufacturing processes, supplier engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, sustainability, waste reduction, and operational performance. You will support the delivery of engineering projects; tool manufacture, injection moulding, and supply chain operations. By the end of the internship, you will have developed demonstrable practical engineering, project management and problem-solving skills. This is a valuable opportunity to strengthen your CV, enhance your employability, and build a strong foundation for your future career.
Requirements
You are eligible for an ESPA internship if you are a registered student or have graduated within the past two years.

Personal Skills
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Materials Engineering or similar.
- A genuine interest in precision engineering.
- An analytical approach with strong organisational and project coordination skills.
- Confident communication skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation (desirable).
- Awareness of manufacturing processes an advantage.
- Good numerical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- A proactive attitude and able to work independently and as part of a team.
