ESPA College provides high quality programmes of study that are tailored to meet the needs and talents of a wide range of individuals. As a result of this approach, college students make excellent progress. Key components of a successful study programme are the work experiences, ‘tasters’ and supported internships available to learners. The college is now looking to recruit a member of staff for the role of Employability Coordinator.
The ideal candidate will be a team player that has experience of supporting learners undertaking work experience and has experience of working across different settings.
The role will include coordinating work experience alongside Employability Champions in Sunderland, Newcastle, and Stockton. The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain an IOSH certificate (provided by ESPA for candidates without IOSH). The ideal candidate will be a driver.
The role will obtain and monitor new work experience opportunities for all learners and build on existing employer partnerships. The ability to carry out workplace risk assessments will be part of the role. The successful candidate will also oversee the completion of Vocational Profiles, contribute to Work Placement Logbooks, Transition Plans and keep accurate and up to date central records of each work placement.
Ideally the candidate will be trained in or have a good understanding of Teaching Systematic Instruction, T.S.I. (Job Coaching) or be willing to undertake appropriate staff development. The successful candidate will support college training inputs around CEIAG and coordinate an annual Employability week.
