ESPA College, North Rye caters for autistic young people between the ages of 16-25 who are working towards qualifications from Entry Level to Level 2. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and flexible individual to join the teaching team at North Rye. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with autistic learners with additional needs in education.

The successful candidate would require a PGCE/Cert Ed, or equivalent Level 5 teaching qualification. Emotional Literacy covers the Zones of Regulation and teaching coping strategies to autistic students; these skills would be used in preparation for adulthood. The sessions delivered would cover real life scenarios and equip the students with how to cope in difficult situations; these sessions would develop transferrable skills for all students.

This subject would require a tutor who has a clear understanding of how to work with autistic students who will use emotive language and be able to navigate students in a positive way to enhance their wellbeing and mental health.
