Accounts Assistant – Credit Control - Finance

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant To act as primary credit controller for the Group including cash allocations, and assist with ledger processing across operating companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Credit control across all Operating Entities
• Responsible for liaising and raising damage claims across all operating entities and chasing debts when they fall due
• Prepare and reconcile monthly credit control reporting across all entities
• To maintain purchase ledgers including registering and posting all invoices on an accurate and timely basis
• Loading weekly, Mid and end of month supplier batch payments into bank and saving the required paperwork
• Issuing remittances when payments are made
• Maintaining daily cash position and reconciling bank accounts for all payments made on a daily basis
• Answering customer/supplier queries via the Accounts in-box and post as required - raising queries with other departments in the business as required to complete
• Setting up new Vendors/Customers as required
• Raising Sales Invoices as required
• Assist with collation of evidence for year-end audit

Person Specification in role

• Experienced credit controller – proven track record required
• Experienced ledger clerk- used to volume processing
• Good knowledge of Excel required
• Good attention to detail
• Knowledge of Business Central advantageous
• Team player – willing to take on other responsibilities to cover leave
