Electrical Networks Manager The Electrical Network Manager will have a broad range of knowledge across electricity distribution with experience of LV, HV and EHV networks, fault response, network development and policy setting.

As part of the Electrical Networks management team this role will ensure that these networks meet statutory and regulatory requirements by setting and maintaining policy, procedure and technical standards and providing Tier 2 assurance of our electrical processes.

This will be achieved in conjunction other members of the Electrical Networks management team who provide specialist knowledge.

Role Purpose The Electrical Network Manager will lead a team that are responsible for ensuring that current and future networks comply with ESP’s standards, industry standards and legislation.

This role will ensure electrical networks remain compliant, resilient and operational.

By working closely with other members of the Electrical Networks management team, the team will engage with industry and regulatory forums alongside the Regulations Team to ensure that ESPUG complies with and manages the risk of regulatory reform and will develop and implement a strategy and action plan to ensure that ESPUG has suitable Policy to address the compliance of electricity networks.

A key member of the team with input into discussions and decisions regarding operational, commercial, and regulatory challenges.

Manage budgets and the financial performance for planned and unplanned asset management activities, ensuring cost-efficiency while maintaining quality standards.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and resource optimisation.

Input into the development and implement of strategic risk management framework for electricity assets, ensuring that risks are proactively identified, assessed, and mitigated.

Lead the response to crisis situations and network emergencies, ensuring swift recovery and minimal disruption.

Represent the ESPUG at industry forums, workshops, meetings etc. as and when required.

Understand sector risks and input into industry innovation and future energy scenarios.
