Working for a high-profile event and exhibition organisation in London, the Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for delivering a commercially focused marketing and communications plan to support the company’s annual revenue targets, as well as building commercial partnerships. The role will be supported by a Marketing Executive and Marketing Administrator who also support the wider marketing team and commercial divisions. The role holder needs to be a highly skilled, creative and an experienced senior manager. Key attributes will include excellent stakeholder management, commercially astute, excellent communication and organisation with an ability to work independently and drive projects from initial plan to completion. Key Responsibilities: Exhibitions and Commercial Services Marketing: Work with the Exhibitions Sales team to deliver a commercially focused marketing and communications plan. This will include targeted activity to support with client retention, acquisition and business development strategies. Understanding the sales cycle and driving targeted marketing activity for both UK and Europe. Develop and deliver the annual marketing plan to drive ancillary revenues. Initiate, develop and update Sales and Marketing materials including brochures, case studies, video content, web content, virtual tours and sales presentations. Implement direct marketing campaigns to support sales and relationship building including email campaigns, newsletters and direct mail. Own, manage and develop the website in partnership with the wider marketing team and relevant external suppliers, ensuring content and organic SEO is maintained and improved Manage all digital marketing activity for with the relevant support of external agencies, including any organic or paid-for activity. Manage the company’s presence at relevant exhibitions, trade shows, industry events and conferences Oversee any corporate hospitality and client events as required Manage all budget and finance requirements relating to Marketing activity Partnerships Marketing Support: Work closely with the Head of Partnerships to develop relationships with key Sponsors and Partners and their marketing teams, providing marketing and PR support to maximise partnership opportunities and commercial revenues. Managing Key Client Relationship: Drive a programme of marketing support for key clients Overseeing development of the marketing support package, with emphasis on delivering a better guest experience, including sourcing new partners and opportunities, ensuring all clients benefit from marketing support packages. Data and Insights: Use relevant market research and insights to support the development of marketing campaigns, ensuring measurement and ROI is key to activity. PR & Communications: Working with the PR & Communications Manager to develop and deliver an annual PR Plan, targeting key national and international trade titles, ensuring that all opportunities are maximised. Work in partnership with the PR and Communications Manager to develop and execute an annual social media plan across all social channels, with particular focus on LinkedIn and key trade titles. Working proactively with the Sales teams and their clients and partners to identify key opportunities to deliver engaging, consistent, informative, and relevant content. Supplier and Partner Management: Manage and develop all key supplier and partner relationships identifying and driving forward new opportunities and relationships to support the delivery of the annual marketing plans. Core Competencies: Drive, Energy & Persistence Communications Skills Team Orientation / Achieving with Others Initiative Experience: Experience of working in a senior marketing role in the exhibition or hospitality sector, with the ability to demonstrate a wide range of marketing skills and competencies and supporting busy sales teams.
