We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our IT team as a Desktop Support Technician. Based in our Arbroath Contact Centre, this role will allow you to further develop your skills and knowledge and is best suited to someone with prior experience of desktop support in an IT environment. Opportunities for funded training & development with recognised learning & development partners will be encouraged to support career development. The role is challenging, demanding and fast paced.

You will be providing 1st line support for a wide range of areas and technologies including: PC’s, laptops, printers, applications, etc.

Key Duties
  • Investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving support requests face to face and for remote workers
  • Deployment and Maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers and scanners and general office hardware
  • Setup and Administration of various user accounts
  • Supporting the Journeycall telephony platform
  • Patch and vulnerability management
  • Asset Management and PAT Testing
  • Maintaining information security standards and PCI compliance
  • Maintaining all asset inventories and produce appropriate reports
  • Working with a communications platform
Key Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of PC systems - MS Windows & MS365
  • Good communication skills with the ability to relay technical information to non-technical users
  • Experience with Cloud CX Phone Systems desirable
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience and Qualifications are advantageous
  • Current driver’s license and transportation

Within this full time role (40 hours per week) you will be required to deliver into a flexible rota across 7 days and a remunerated on-call rotation to cover business requirement across 24 hours, with occasional travel to other Journeycall or ESP Group locations and offsite data centre also a requirement.
