We are looking to attract experienced Senior HRIS Specialists based in Reading, UK who bring not only strong implementation knowledge, but also hands-on experience with the UKG Ready system. This is an ideal opportunity for an HRIS professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and wants to take ownership of UKG Ready configuration in a global organization. This is a highly hands-on role.
The successful candidate will be directly responsible for:
- Performing system configuration and administration within UKG Ready
- Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to system configurations
- Presenting system changes and updates to managers and stakeholders
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including those with limited system knowledge, to ensure effective adoption and usage
- Acting as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring the system is set up to meet operational needs
This individual will work in close partnership with a dedicated technical resource based in Pune, who provides technical support for the UKG Ready platform. While that role focuses on technical backend support, this position will primarily focus on:
- Supporting line-of-business stakeholders onsite
- Working with external UKG support teams
- Driving execution of system-related initiatives within the business

System Administration & Configuration
- Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for UKG Ready.
- Configure and maintain organisational structures, workflows, business rules, approval paths, notifications and automation.
- Maintain system configuration documentation and change records.
- Ensure configuration aligns with business processes and compliance requirements.

Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate manual HR and people processes.
- Recommend enhancements that improve efficiency, user experience and data quality.
- Evaluate new UKG functionality and advise on adoption opportunities.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain standard and ad-hoc reports, dashboards and workforce analytics.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency and integrity of workforce data.
- Conduct regular system and data audits to identify areas for improvement.
User Support & Training
- Act as the primary escalation point for UKG Ready system queries.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolutions with UKG support where required.
- Provide guidance and support to HR, Payroll, Recruitment and management users.
- Create and maintain user guides, training materials and process documentation.
- Deliver training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to system users.
System Testing & Change Management
- Support system upgrades, releases and enhancement activities.
- Perform configuration testing, user acceptance testing and regression testing.
- Ensure all system changes are thoroughly documented and communicated.
- Support project activities relating to HR systems transformation and process improvement.
Security, Governance & Compliance
- Maintain role-based access controls and security structures.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy requirements, including GDPR and relevant employment legislation.
Integrations & Data Management
- Support integrations between UKG Ready and other business systems.
- Assist with data imports, exports and migration activities.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of HRIS platforms and employee lifecycle processes.
- Experience configuring workflows, approvals, security roles and business rules.
- Advanced reporting and data analysis skills.
- Experience supporting HR, Payroll and Recruitment functions.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.
