Role Overview
As a Real Estate Lettings Manager, you will oversee the lettings department, lead a team of negotiators, and drive the growth of our dual lettings model. You will ensure smooth operations, high performance, and exceptional service for both landlords and tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management
- Recruit, train, and mentor lettings negotiators.
- Set KPIs, monitor performance, and conduct regular reviews.
- Provide guidance and support on complex tenant or landlord issues.
- Strategy & Business Development
- Drive landlord acquisition.
- Develop relationships with developers, corporate clients, and key property sources.
- Monitor London market trends and recommend pricing or lettings strategy adjustments.
- Operations Oversight
- Ensure all properties comply with lettings law (Right to Rent, licensing, deposit schemes).
- Oversee tenant referencing, contracts, and move-in processes.
- Implement and maintain systems for pipeline management, weekly reporting, and team workflow.
- Financial & Performance Monitoring
- Track departmental revenue, commission flow, and guaranteed rent performance.
- Report to senior management on KPIs, lettings activity, and team performance.
- Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong relationships with landlords, developers, and corporate clients.
- Handle escalated issues from tenants or landlords.
- Represent the agency professionally at events, meetings, and networking opportunities.
Skills & Experience
- Previous lettings and team management experience, preferably in the London market.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of lettings legislation, compliance, and deposit protection schemes.
