Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are recruiting for an HR Administrator to join the HR team on a permanent basis (subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks). The role is available immediately, full time, working 36.25 hours per week with a salary of £25,990. The purpose of the role is to manage the full recruitment lifecycle while ensuring a positive candidate experience. It involves supporting recruiting managers with various recruitment tasks, including candidate screening, interview scheduling, handling pre‑employment checks, maintaining compliance with employment laws, and managing the shared mailboxes and HR records. Additionally, the role supports probation reviews and absence management to support a smooth employee journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Support recruiting managers with candidate screening, interview scheduling, and pre‑employment checks.
  • Maintain compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Manage shared mailboxes and HR records.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in an HR or administrative role.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation (desirable).
  • Experience using iTrent; payroll experience would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Commitment to high professional standards and continuous professional development.

ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. The successful candidate must have an alternative right to work in the UK.
