Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join the Finance Department on a permanent basis from May 2026 (subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks). This is a permanent, full‑time role, working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

If you thrive working in a fast‑paced environment and have a passion for administrating and managing core financial operations and systems, this role could be for you. The purpose of the role is to oversee, check and process all cash transactions including direct debits and faster payments whilst managing credit cards in issue, petty cash transactions and processing expense claims. The successful post holder will also be responsible for the assurance of accurate reporting, the maintenance of credit accounts and supporting donation processing and fund transfers whilst supporting the development of operational efficiencies.

The successful candidate will have experience in financial administration and accounts receivable roles, including working with multiple budget holders and handling both internal and external clients. They will be proficient in accounting systems, double entry book‑keeping and managing tasks such as posting journals, processing payments and completing reconciliations. Additionally, they will possess strong communication skills and be capable of multitasking with attention to detail.

Eligibility: ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
