Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Health and Food Technology to join the Fashion and Food Technology Department at the ESM Senior School on a permanent basis from 17 August 2026 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). This is a permanent, full time role with a salary of £35,2020-£50,982. The role is based at our Queensferry Road site.
The purpose of the role is to teach Health and Food Technology to all levels from S1 up to Advanced Higher and contribute to the School's extra-curricular programme. This role also offers opportunities to contribute to the learning and teaching of upper Primary classes as and when required.
The successful candidate must be GTCS registered, or eligible for registration, with the relevant subject specific teaching degree. They will be passionate about Health, Food and Fashion technologies and will support the department to collaborate, create and build a successful subject offering to all students of the Senior School.
ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
