Unlike traditional agencies, we hire our team as employees, offering a clear career path, paid training, and a holistic approach to student success.

Overview: Guidewell Global (ESM Prep UK | UES Education) is a group of passionate educators seeking new Test Prep Mentors, excited to work at the intersection of education and business. We offer a comprehensive suite of services, from expert college admissions guidance and K-12 academic tutoring to specialized test preparation for exams like the ISEE, SSAT, AP, SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, MCAT, and LSAT. Beyond scores and grades, our dedicated team fosters genuine mentorship, helping students discover their unique strengths and navigate their path with confidence. We are guided by a mission to deliver transformational educational experiences that support students as whole people. The core values that shape this mission and our work together as colleagues are: student-centered, empathetic, expert practitioners, and growth-oriented.

Job Description: Mentors will assist students with one-on-one in-person test preparation by readying them for the ACT and SAT exams and potentially other academic subjects, as well. Tutoring will take place primarily out of our Marylebone office. Willingness to tutor in-home and lead courses are pluses, and will increase the amount of available work as well as hourly pay. You will be an expert practitioner who balances rigorous academic prep with empathetic coaching, helping students navigate the high-pressure US standardized test prep landscape.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience teaching ACT/SAT is preferred.
  • A score from a diagnostic quiz taken during the application process will be required to ensure sufficient expertise for success in our paid training program.
  • Must be able to tutor in person in London at least 3 to 4 times a week
  • Additional expertise in tutoring multiple high school subjects especially maths, computer science, and physics is a plus
  • Available part-time. Tutoring usually occurs on weekday evenings (after 3 pm) and/or at weekends. The typical work timetable is Sunday - Thursday.
  • You must be available for in-person tutoring in our offices in Marylebone, London.
  • Teaching school courses at our partner schools in London and the Home Counties is preferred but not required.
  • These courses typically run from September through December and are held once a week (8 sessions in total), either online or in person at the school.
  • We look for long-term partners who can see a cohort through their testing cycle (Ideally through June).

Safeguarding: All successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service), given the nature of working with students.

Right to Work: Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this part-time position.

Compensation/Benefits:

  • £50 per hour one-on-one teaching rate
  • £15 per hour admin and training rate
  • Up to £75 per hour for in-person teaching at partner schools
  • Up to £60 per hour for online teaching at partner schools

  • SAT/ACT content quiz to verify satisfactory initial content knowledge.
  • Informational Interview with a Talent Team member (30 minutes, focused on core values alignment, availability, and expectations).
