Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
The Company: At ESM we manage the design and build of exhibition spaces to create an engaging and memorable stand for our clients and their brand. All work is undertaken in house at our Kent headquarters by our experienced team who have been working on exhibition stands and trade fairs for a number of years, bringing both expertise and the latest trends to every project. We produce some genuinely beautiful work; working on some fantastic projects for a number of agencies, but also a large volume of work for exhibitors looking to stand out at their events predominantly in the UK.
The Position: This is a great opportunity to join our team as we continue to service an increasing amount of clients in manufacturing, managing and installing exhibition stands throughout the UK and Europe. The role requires the successful candidate to help organise the storage of custom build exhibition stand components including:
- Making lists
- Labelling and measuring goods ready for storage
- Being responsible for palleting, wrapping, protecting and careful handling of manufactured elements
- Being responsible on projects for driving (mainly vans, but applicable licences/experience with larger vehicles would be an advantage)
- Loading and unloading
- Parking
- Assisting teams with all elements of build/breakdown onsite
Experience in other trades would be valuable - with key tasks where help is appreciated including decorating, simple electrics, and cleaning ready for handover. This is an exciting role that demands much manual hard work, but also despite being largely workshop based with the organising of storage being the most important aspect, offers a degree of travel, and time spent away from home with plenty of overtime on offer. No two days in our industry are ever the same.
The Candidate: Applicants should have some forklift training (specific training/licences will be provided if needed), driving experience of commercial vehicles, with a full valid driving licence (and be over 21 for insurance purposes), be physically fit, and have a commitment to working hard and learning whilst contributing to and complementing the skills of our carpenters, joiners and other employed trades. This is a key role for us, and candidates must most of all have high standards, and love working hard as part of a team.
