Hours: 4 days and sleep nights on, 6 days off (365 rota)

Pay rate: £41,751 to £46,197 per annum, including opportunities to pick up overtime at an enhanced rate.

Bly House is a two-bed, Ofsted registered children's home providing immediate intervention and trauma-informed therapeutic support. Over a 12 week placement, our young people are given security, support, and stabilisation in a nurturing and peaceful environment. Every placement provides PACE principle residential care, access to education and participation in outdoor/adventure activities.

Essential requirements for a Senior Children's Adventure Care Worker:

  • A minimum 12 months experience in a children's residential care home
  • A level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare (or be close to completion)
  • A full driving licence issued in the UK
  • A keen interest in outdoor and adventure activities
  • Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
  • In depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
  • Training and experience in de-escalation, safe restraint and physical intervention (such as Team Teach, MAPA etc.)
  • Values in line with Esland's, such as taking a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare
  • Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above
  • Successful employment is subject to satisfactory Full Enhanced Disclosure, right to work and reference checks in line with government regulations and Safer Recruitment Practices (the company will cover the costs).
