Hours: 4 days and sleep nights on, 6 days off (365 rota)

Pay rate: £41,751 to £46,197 per annum, including opportunities to pick up overtime at an enhanced rate.

About the home:

Peak View is a two-bed, Ofsted registered children's home providing immediate intervention and trauma-informed therapeutic support. Over a 12 week placement, our young people are given security, support, and stabilisation in a nurturing and peaceful environment. Every placement provides PACE principle residential care, access to education and participation in outdoor/adventure activities.

After a period of expansion and renewal, we are seeking a new team to assist in growing our Assessments service. If you are an experienced, qualified children's residential care worker who is eager to expand their skills and knowledge, we would love to hear from you!

Essential requirements for a Senior Children's Adventure Care Worker:

  • A minimum 12 months experience in a children's residential care home
  • A level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare (or be close to completion)
  • A full driving licence issued in the UK
  • A keen interest in outdoor and adventure activities
  • Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
  • In depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
  • Training and experience in de-escalation, safe restraint and physical intervention (such as Team Teach, MAPA etc.)
  • Values in line with Esland's, such as taking a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare
  • Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above
  • Successful employment is subject to satisfactory Full Enhanced Disclosure, right to work and reference checks in line with government regulations and Safer Recruitment Practices (the company will cover the costs).
