Esland Shropshire School is seeking an outstanding SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing, specialist provision supporting vulnerable young people aged 8 to 18 years who have SEND and SEMH needs. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons across core subjects (English, Maths, Science)
- Support pupilsā academic and personal development through Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and PEP meetings
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Work closely with colleagues, families, and external agencies
- Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times

Requirements
Essential
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
- Experience teaching KS3 and/or KS4 across a range of subjects
- Strong understanding of SEND, particularly SEMH
- Knowledge of assessment frameworks and progress tracking
- Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Desirable
- A degree or qualification in psychology
- A higher degree or equivalent
