A qualified and passionate KS2 teacher with experience in SEND, looking to join a specialist provision supporting vulnerable young people aged 8 to 18 years with SEND and SEMH needs. This role offers a better work/life balance and the chance to make a real difference.

The role:

  • Plan and deliver lessons across core subjects (English, Maths, Science)
  • Support pupils’ academic and personal development through Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and PEP meetings
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Work closely with colleagues, families, and external agencies
  • Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
  • Experience teaching KS2 across a range of subjects
  • Strong understanding of SEND, particularly SEMH
  • Knowledge of assessment frameworks and progress tracking
  • Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

Desirable qualifications

  • Degree or qualification in psychology
  • Higher degree or equivalent
