The Retreat Home, rated Good by Ofsted, is looking for a Senior Children’s Residential Care Worker to join our passionate, dedicated team. Every day here is full of purpose, growth, and the chance to make a lasting impact. Nestled in a peaceful residential area, The Retreat is a place where children thrive.
Hobbies include outdoors & experiences (trips to parks, shopping, trampolining, meals out and clubs) and indoors (cooking, movie nights & gaming). We provide a safe, nurturing environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver high-quality care and emotional support to children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Inspire brighter futures with consistency, compassion, and resilience.
- Be part of a dedicated team in a 365-day service, with structured rotas and long shifts (7.30am–11pm), including sleep-in nights.
What You’ll Earn
- Annual salary: £38,554 (based on £15.45/hour + 8 sleep-ins/month; dependent on qualifications) (Pay rate effective from 1st April 2026)
- Opportunity for additional earnings through enhanced overtime and extra shifts.
What You’ll Need
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Level 3 qualification in Child Care
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in children’s residential care
- Must be 21+ and have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
