We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic residential support worker to join our growing, highly valued team based in Weldon. Our teams act as professional parents who nurture and support our children, giving them high levels of care and allowing them to achieve amazing outcomes. Our homes vary in size and provide therapeutic, EBD and complex trauma support services.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, including review and implementation.
- Form effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies.
- Ensure the home is kept clean and tidy, adhering to the cleaning rota system and encouraging participation where appropriate.
- Maintain and promote good quality records with supervision and advice from shift supervisors and managers.
- Maintain and promote residential care to the high levels of professionalism expected by Esland and Ofsted.
- Contribute to the educational and social development of each young person and assist with implementation of Individual Education Programs.
- Meet the emotional and physical needs of our young people and maximise opportunities for their development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (highly desirable). Willingness to undertake this qualification once employed is acceptable.
- Experience in a children’s home setting (highly desirable).
- Passion to help nurture young people.
- Flexibility to work 24‑48 hour shift patterns (including sleep‑in). Rotas are given in advance and likely to be 2 on 4 off.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- All candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations.
