We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic School Administrator to join our team at Esland’s School in Grantham. Our school is a provision for children with special educational needs, providing high-quality education in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment that builds a foundation for lifelong learning.
The role involves assisting in the process of opening and beyond, supporting the smooth running of our specialist provision.
Key Responsibilities- Help in ensuring the smooth-running of the office.
- Assisting in managing the “front of house” area – greeting all visitors and making them feel welcome.
- Arranging internal meetings.
- Assisting with special events.
- Being sure to project a professional image of the school at all times.
- Forming effective relationships with support departments to ensure the efficient running of the school administration (including maintenance, health and safety processes, ordering of provisions and processing payments).
- Supporting the pupil admissions and referral processes.
- Being an efficient and effective point of contact for all enquiries on the telephone, by email or in person.
- Ensuring safeguarding of all young people underpins every decision made.
- Supporting in generating weekly reports, such as staff attendance and pupil attendance (and relaying information to relevant departments).
- Monitoring and reporting on pupil attendance and updating the school contacts database.
- Scheduling meetings and ensuring the delegates are notified.
- Supporting the transition processes and preparing all necessary paperwork for students joining and moving on from the school.
- Excellent working knowledge of programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and numeracy skills.
- Excellent organisation skills, able to multi‑task and prioritise work effectively.
- A friendly manner with all visitors and stakeholders.

- Experience of working in a SEMH/SEND school (desirable).
- The ability to update and maintain records on internal databases/systems.
- Understanding and experience of maintaining safeguarding and security procedures.
