Esland Daven School is an established specialist provision, supporting children and young people aged 8–18 with SEND and SEMH needs. We are seeking a committed and skilled SEN Lead Maths Teacher. The role:
- As a SEN Teacher and subject lead, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
- Plan and deliver lessons across core subjects (with a particular emphasis on Maths).
- Support pupils’ academic and personal development through Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and PEP meetings.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Work closely with colleagues, families, and external agencies.
- Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times.

Requirements for a SEN Teacher:
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
- A minimum of 2 years post graduation experience.
- Strong understanding of SEND and SEMH.
- Knowledge of assessment frameworks and progress tracking.
- Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
Desirable:
- Subject/Department leader experience (or acting leadership experience).
- Experience in teaching across alternative subjects (and a willingness to support other departments as the team grows).
