Location: Bly House – Burton-Upon-Trent
Compensation: £40,464 – £42,804 / year
Hours
4 days on, 6 days off (with sleep nights). We are a 365 day a year service due to the nature of our work. Rotas are given in advance.
Pay rate
£40,464 to £42,804 per annum. Includes opportunities to pick up extra shifts / overtime at an enhanced rate – rates applicable from April 2026.
Bly House is a family home based in the suburbs of Burton-Upon-Trent. Using a trauma-informed approach, the team intervention care that supports emotional healing and personal development for up to two young people at a time.
Over a 12 week placement, our assessment strategy helps us understand what is truly right for a young person and their needs.
Every placement provides PACE principles, therapeutic care, access to education and the opportunity to participate in an outdoor adventure programme.
The work and commitment of our teams helps us to determine what support a young person requires and defines their next steps.

Requirements for a Children’s Adventure Care Worker
- Experience in a children\’s residential care home (highly desirable)
- A level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare (desirable)
- Experience within care, education, mental health support and/or youth activities (essential)
- A Full driving licence issued in the UK (essential)
- Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions (essential)
- Values in line with Esland\’s, such as taking a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare (essential)
- A keen interest in outdoor and adventure activities (essential)
- Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above (essential)
