£43,740 to £48,186 per annum,* including opportunities to pick up overtime at an enhanced rate - rates applicable from April 2026
What we are looking for
Moorland Cottage is a two-bed, Ofsted registered children's home providing immediate intervention and trauma-informed therapeutic support.
Over a 12 week placement, our young people are given security, support, and stabilisation in a nurturing and peaceful environment. Every placement provides PACE principle residential care, access to education and participation in outdoor/adventure activities.
If you are an experienced, qualified children's residential care worker who is eager to expand their skills and knowledge, we would love to hear from you!
- A minimum 12 months experience in a children's residential care home
- A level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare (or be close to completion)
- A full driving licence, issued in the UK
- A keen interest in outdoor and adventure activities
- Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
- In depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
- Training and experience in de-escalation, safe restraint and physical intervention (such as Team Teach, MAPA etc.)
- Values in line with Esland's, such as taking a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare
- Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above
