SEMH English Lead Teacher
Location: Congleton, Cheshire
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time (core hours 8:30am to 4:40pm, Monday to Friday)
Salary: Up to £41,137 (depending on experience and qualifications) plus £3,000 subject lead allowance

This role is part of the senior team of a highly sought‑after specialist provision supporting vulnerable young people aged 7 to 18 years who have SEND and SEMH needs.
Essential Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
- A minimum of 2 years post‑graduation experience
- Strong understanding of SEND and SEMH
- Knowledge of assessment frameworks and progress tracking
- Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Desirable Qualifications
- Subject/Department leader experience (or acting leadership experience)
- Experience in teaching across alternative subjects and a willingness to support other departments as the team grows
