Software Engineer - Frontend in London

In this role, you will take full ownership of the Software Development Lifecycle for critical front-end initiatives across our diverse product offerings. Working within a modern technical ecosystem—including React, Redux, TypeScript, and Next.js—you will constantly evolve and enhance our FACEIT platform. Beyond feature development, you will also proactively contribute to the evolution of our best practices and the overall technical foundation of EFG.

As a member of the Ads & Partnerships team, you will focus on high-performance advertising integrations. Our goal is to create seamless, non-intrusive ad experiences that respect the user while delivering world-class results for our partners. While we are currently developing ambitious new features, we maintain an open-door policy for innovation. Responsibilities

• Building large-scale applications with React, Redux and Next.js;
• Good demonstrable ability with recognised open-source languages;
• Knowledge of relevant testing frameworks;
• Experience with WebSockets and real-time messaging;
• Continue to learn new technologies and frameworks;
• Work with large complex applications;

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and building high-quality, large-scale, and performant web applications;
• Deep proficiency with our core technologies: React, Redux, and Next.js;
• Proven ability to implement robust features and ensure excellent type safety and code maintainability;
• Hands-on experience integrating and managing real-time functionality using technologies and real-time messaging protocols;
• Commitment to quality assurance, demonstrated by experience writing comprehensive unit and integration tests using a recognised testing framework;
• Proven ability to contribute to architectural and scaling decisions for complex, high-traffic applications;
• Proactive approach to continuous learning, staying current with emerging frontend technologies and best practices, and demonstrating a desire to drive technical improvements;

Bonus skills

• Passionate about learning new, cutting-edge technologies and finding applicable business cases as needed;
• A passion for video games and esports is a plus.
