Our Commercial Strategy team is looking for a (senior) manager with sharp strategic thinking, a deep passion for the esports industry, and the collaborative spirit needed to drive our business forward. We are seeking a Manager of Commercial Strategy who will help define how we grow, compete, and create long-term value in the ever-evolving esports landscape. We're looking for individuals who not only love gaming but also understand the commercial potential behind it — people who can transform insights into strategic opportunities, identify new revenue streams, and help us strengthen our market position.
Your unique perspective, analytical approach, and creative problem-solving can play a key role in shaping the next chapter of esports. Within our Commercial Strategy unit, we focus on shaping how EFG grows, innovates, and delivers long-term value across the esports industry. This role is strategically positioned to help develop forward-looking commercial plans, identify new revenue opportunities, and strengthen the business models that support our global ecosystem.
This new role offers the best of both worlds! It is designed to play an essential role in EFG's internal commercial strategy as well as working closely with key partners. Understanding their objectives, designing impactful strategic solutions for them, and ensuring they gain strong value across events, platforms, and communities. You will have the chance to influence EFG's long-term commercial direction while also elevating the partnerships that help shape the future of esports. You report to our Director of Commercial Strategy and are a part of our Global Commercial team.
What you’ll do:
- Shape EFG's commercial strategy by developing forward-looking plans that drive growth, competitiveness, and long-term value across the esports ecosystem.
- Identify and evaluate new revenue opportunities, market trends, and strategic pathways to strengthen our commercial position globally.
- Translate insights and analysis into clear strategic recommendations that support decision-making across the Commercial organization (focus on distribution).
- Collaborate with key partners, understanding their objectives and designing strategic, high-impact solutions that elevate their presence across EFG events, platforms, and communities.
- Work cross-functionally with departments such as Product, Data, Brand Partnerships, Commercial Operations, and Marketing to bring strategic initiatives to life.
- Support the development and optimization of commercial strategies that drive business growth.
- Build compelling presentations and strategic narratives for partners, leadership, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor performance of commercial initiatives and provide data-backed insights to continuously improve our strategy and partner outcomes.
- Champion innovation and creative thinking within the Commercial team, helping shape the next evolution of our esports ecosystem.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Director of Commercial Strategy, contributing to high-impact projects and long-term strategic planning.

- Create innovative and differentiated partner activation concepts.
- Develop high-quality, engaging pitch materials to support partnership discussions.
What you need:
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable commercial strategies.
- Passion for esports and gaming, paired with an understanding of its commercial potential and ecosystem, is a plus.
- Proven experience in commercial strategy, business development, partnerships, or similar roles, ideally within gaming, sports, entertainment, or digital industries (min. 4+ years of experience).
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and build new revenue opportunities and support long-term business model innovation.
- Experience working with partners or clients, understanding their goals and designing impactful, value-driven solutions.
- Analytical strength and data-driven thinking, capable of turning complex information into clear strategic recommendations.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable collaborating across teams and engaging with senior leaders and external partners.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, very fast-moving environment.
- Flexibility to work remotely within the US or (preferably) Europe and operate effectively across global teams and time zones.
- Comfortable working with business tools such as G Suite, Monday.com, or Salesforce.
- Fluency in English and another language, such as German, Spanish, or Arabic, is a plus.
