About eskandar

Drawing inspiration from European and Asian cultures, the collections focus on functional, elegant silhouettes and exceptional natural fabrics, including cotton, linen, silk, wool and cashmere.

With flagship stores in London, Paris and New York, eskandar has been sold in over 70 locations worldwide, including leading department stores and online retailers.

The Role

We are looking for an organised, proactive and experienced Production Coordinator to join our small, hands‑on womenswear design and production team in London.

Working closely with the Creative Designer, Senior Garment Technologist and Production Manager, you will coordinate the day‑to‑day development and production process, from initial sampling through to bulk production. You will help ensure that fabrics, trims, samples and technical information are correctly managed and reach the right factories at the right time.

This is a varied, practical role requiring a clear understanding of the full garment production critical path, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple styles, deadlines and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabric and trim management: Book in and track incoming fabrics, coordinate fabric transfers and allocations, and ensure fabrics and trims are delivered to the correct factories on schedule.
  • Sample development and QC: Coordinate sample development, check incoming samples for quality, measurements, construction and finishing, and organise sample labelling, listing and tracking.
  • Technical documentation: Prepare and maintain technical packs, garment specifications, measurement charts and bills of materials (BOMs), ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
  • Production preparation: Compile and check factory packs, ensuring fabrics, trims, specifications and approvals are in place before production begins.
  • Sample approvals: Coordinate sample reviews and amendments, support the sealing of approved styles and review pre‑production (PPS) samples against approved standards.
  • Critical path management: Track styles from design and development through to production, maintain production calendars, follow up on outstanding actions and flag potential delays.
  • Factory and supplier liaison: Send fabrics, trims and technical packs externally, communicate with factories and suppliers, and resolve day‑to‑day production queries.
  • Atelier and special orders: Support the coordination of the on‑site atelier, sampling, alterations and special customer orders, working closely with the Senior Garment Technologist.
  • Quality and administration: Maintain accurate production records, technical files and sample trackers, supporting consistent quality standards across the collection.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in garment production or product development, ideally within luxury or premium womenswear.
  • A strong understanding of the full critical path from design and sampling through to bulk production.
  • Practical experience with fabric and trim management, technical packs, BOMs, sample approvals and quality control.
  • Excellent organisational skills, accuracy and the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines.
  • Confident communication skills when liaising with factories, suppliers and internal teams.
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach, with the ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion.
  • An appreciation of garment construction, fit, quality and the standards expected of a luxury fashion brand.

Desirable:

Experience using Gerber or similar CAD systems, with knowledge of pattern work, pattern amendments and grading.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join an established independent luxury womenswear brand in a varied, hands‑on role, working closely with a small creative and production team. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring that collections move smoothly from development into production, maintaining the quality, organisation and attention to detail for which eskandar is known.
