We’re working with a global leader in offshore engineering looking to hire an IT Security Training Team Lead to take ownership of security awareness initiatives within a growing IT security function. This is a hybrid role based in their Aberdeen office.

In this position, you’ll lead the development and delivery of security awareness programs across the business. A key focus will be evolving training initiatives to improve engagement and strengthen overall security culture. You’ll design and roll out a variety of content, including phishing simulations, awareness campaigns, and company‑wide training events, working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders, so the ability to communicate complex security concepts in a clear and engaging way is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver cyber security training programs for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Plan and run simulated security exercises and phishing campaigns.
  • Lead and evolve ongoing email and awareness training initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver an annual security awareness campaign using multiple channels such as webinars, blogs, and internal communications.
  • Establish and manage a network of internal security champions.
  • Coordinate communication and training efforts with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Required Experience
  • Experience creating and delivering IT or security training to varied audiences.
  • Proven ability to engage large and diverse groups.
  • Experience managing phishing simulations or awareness campaigns.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to gathering feedback.
  • Experience with crisis simulation or training platforms is advantageous.
