Part-Time Tax Manager - 12-Month FTC
Central London | Hybrid | 3 days per week £100k FTE (£60k pro rata)

We're working with a leading organisation in Central London that is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join its trusted finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate tax and/or indirect tax specialist who enjoys taking ownership, identifying opportunities for improvement and making a tangible difference to tax processes, controls and governance.
The role
Working closely with the finance team, you'll provide focused tax leadership across the business, with a particular emphasis on reviewing and strengthening the organisation's existing tax framework. You'll assess current tax processes, controls and arrangements, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and develop a practical framework to enhance compliance, governance and delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing existing arrangements across corporate tax, indirect tax and employment taxes
- Identifying tax risks, control gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Recommending practical and proportionate improvements
- Strengthening tax structures, processes and documentation
- Developing and implementing robust tax controls and governance
- Working with external tax advisers and auditors where required
- Creating a clear implementation plan to ensure agreed changes are embedded before the end of the contract

About you
We're looking for a qualified and experienced tax professional with a strong practical understanding of tax compliance, reporting, risk and governance. You'll ideally have:
- A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent
- Strong experience in corporate tax and/or indirect tax, gained in industry or practice
- Experience of tax reporting, compliance and working with external advisers and auditors
- A strong understanding of tax risk, controls and governance
- Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills
- The ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly to non-tax specialists
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach and the confidence to identify issues and implement improvements
