Our client, the UK's leading designer, manufacturer, and installer of bespoke physical security products, is looking for a motivated and experienced Field Service Technician to join their dynamic team.

If you are looking for an exciting opportunity that allows you to be on the road, work autonomously, and solve complex problems, then this is the job for you.

Location: Derby / Nottingham area

Salary: Competitive + company van and fuel card + overtime + on-call allowance

Hours: 8am - 5pm

Benefits: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, access to employee health scheme, pension

You will be the primary point of contact for all service-related tasks in your area, including maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of automatic doors and roller shutters. To be successful in this role, you must be a self-starter and have a passion for problem solving. You must also have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to maintain and update your own van stock. You must also be comfortable working with a tablet for job reporting.

Our ideal applicant will have/be:

  • Experience working with Automatic Doors (Swing/Slide) and/or Roller Shutters
  • BSEN16005 accreditation - Desirable
  • IT skills (Proficient in mobile device/tablet use)
  • Ability to troubleshoot, i.e. repair equipment
  • Positive can-do self-motivated attitude towards work and fellow team members & willingness to support other technicians in the field
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers
  • Full UK Driving License
