Who are we looking for? We are looking for an energetic individual to coordinate the day to day running of our staff restaurant and hospitality here at our office in Woking. This is a part time role (29.5 hours per week) usually from 8am to 2.30pm on Monday to Thursday, and 8am to 2pm on Friday each week. You will be reporting to the Facilities / Events Manager and will be responsible for not just being the front of house, but also behind the logistics of running our restaurant (usually breakfast and lunch service) as well as provide catering for meetings etc.

What will you be doing? This is a varied role where no two days will be the same. You will take responsibility for:

  • Setting up and clearing down restaurant area for breakfast and lunch service.
  • Topping up and cleaning coffee machines and water dispensers and drinks fridge.
  • Delivering and collecting refreshments and lunch to meeting rooms where required.
  • Demonstrating excellent customer service in line with client expectations.
  • Ensuring kitchen and restaurant service area are kept clean, tidy and safe.
  • Notifying Facilities/Events Manager of any equipment or maintenance issues.
  • Ensuring the appropriate health and safety regulations are strictly observed and the appropriate cleaning and temperature records are kept.
  • Communicating any feedback from customers daily.
  • Assisting in basic food and salad preparation.
  • Responsibility for preparing orders placed on the online ordering system.
  • Responsibility for i-zettle payments and weekly food orders in the absence of the Facilities/Manager.

Who are You? You will have experience in the catering / hospitality industry, have good customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure! You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have appreciation of customer expectations.

What competencies will you need? Ideally you will have worked in a catering environment before. You must have good customer service skills and be able to multi-task and prioritise. This is a busy role where you will need to have some creative flair and have great food presentation skills.
