We are looking for a dedicated and experienced EH&S Manager to lead and continuously improve our environmental, health, and safety programs at our key manufacturing site in Wantage, Oxfordshire. This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, protecting our people and the environment, and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability across all operations. This is an on-site role reporting to the Supply Chain and Site Director.
What will you be doing?
- EH&S Leadership: Develop, implement, and manage site-wide EH&S strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with global standards and local regulations.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with environmental permits, health and safety legislation, and internal standards. Conduct risk assessments and lead mitigation initiatives.
- Incident Management: Lead investigations into EH&S incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Training & Engagement: Deliver EH&S training programs and promote employee engagement through safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Auditing & Reporting: Conduct internal audits, prepare regulatory reports, and maintain accurate records of EH&S performance metrics. Take responsibility for maintaining the business' IOS 14001 and IATF accreditations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and corporate EH&S teams to ensure alignment and support for site initiatives.
