Who are we looking for? We are looking for a commercially technically proficient Business Development Engineer to help drive growth across our global chemical portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, innovation, and commercial strategy. You will play a pivotal role in identifying new market opportunities, developing customer solutions, and supporting the expansion of our product and service offerings.

What will you be doing?

  • Market & Opportunity Analysis: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets, including customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate with sales and technical teams to engage with customers, understand their challenges, and propose tailored chemical solutions.
  • Product & Solution Development: Work closely with R&D, production, and marketing teams to develop and position new products or applications that meet market demands.
  • Commercial Strategy Support: Contribute to pricing strategies, go-to-market plans, and value propositions for new and existing offerings.
  • Project Management: Lead or support cross-functional projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical input during customer discussions, product trials, and solution implementation.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), customer feedback, and market developments to inform strategic decisions.

What competencies will you need?

We are Offering... As part of the team, as well as receiving a competitive base salary, you will also participate in a generous performance related bonus scheme. In addition, you will also receive Life Assurance, Private Medical Cover, Health Cash Plan, as well as 23 days holiday per annum, increasing to a maximum of 25 days, with service.

For this role, we are offering a salary starting from £48,770 per annum. We provide a challenging, but rewarding experience to our people.
