Overview

Are you a passionate paediatrician with expertise in neurodevelopmental care looking for new opportunities to help develop innovative care pathways in community paediatrics? East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust invites you to apply for a Specialist Doctor post in Community Paediatrics with a focus on neurodevelopmental medicine.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide neurodevelopmental assessments and child development clinics across East Sussex.
  • Participate in assessments for autism, ADHD, sleep disorders, and physical disabilities.
  • Contribute to the care of Children in Care (CIC), including statutory health assessments.
  • Collaborate with Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, and specialist nursing teams in delivering multidisciplinary care.
  • Offer medical input to the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) process in close partnership with the local authority.

The job plan includes clinics, admin, MDT meetings, peer reviews, and opportunities for teaching and leadership development.
