An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy Assistant to work within our Integrated Discharge Team (IDT) at Eastbourne District General Hospital. As part of the Physiotherapy department, you will join a supportive team passionate about caring for residents of East Sussex. You will attend an in‑service training programme and complete supervision sessions with your line manager. You will work closely alongside the IDT Occupational Therapy team, the wider multidisciplinary team, and the newly appointed Advanced Practitioner.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Physiotherapists to deliver high‑level assessment and rehabilitation to patients of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, including Frailty, General Medicine and Palliative Care.
  • Carry out exercise programmes, maintenance programmes and rehabilitation sessions autonomously, as planned by a Physiotherapist.
  • Complete data entry and assist with ordering equipment through the Millbrook system to ensure timely discharge for patients across the trust.
