As a key member of our Occupational Health team, you’ll deliver high‑quality vaccination and screening that keep staff safe, supported and able to thrive. You’ll work hands‑on with immunisations, risk assessments and health‑protection initiatives, ensuring every intervention is delivered safely, professionally and in line with evidence‑based practice. You’ll be trusted to uphold the highest clinical standards — from maintaining the cold chain and managing clinical environments, to accurately recording results and supporting responses to infectious‑disease incidents. Your attention to detail and commitment to safe practice will help safeguard colleagues across the Trust. Beyond clinical delivery, you’ll play an active role in service improvement and team collaboration. Key responsibilities

  • Provide vaccination, screening and clinical interventions for staff in line with occupational exposure requirements and departmental policy.
  • Work safely within Written Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and departmental policies.
  • Maintain required training and competencies to deliver clinical duties safely and professionally.
  • Uphold cold‑chain standards when storing, transporting and administering vaccines across all sites.
  • Keep clinical areas clean, organised and fully stocked with in‑date equipment.
  • Ensure safe handling, storage and disposal of sharps and clinical waste.
  • Support the duty nurse with outbreak management and infectious‑disease contact actions.
  • Complete initial risk assessments and follow‑up for staff sustaining body‑fluid exposures or injuries.
  • Review, record and action blood results accurately within clinical systems.
  • Carry out health‑surveillance screening as directed by trained clinical staff.
  • Clean and maintain equipment to manufacturer standards and work with EME to ensure calibration and safety checks.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, working groups and service‑improvement discussions.
  • Support the annual seasonal vaccination programme.
  • Maintain and develop professional competence through ongoing learning, revalidation and evidence‑based practice.
  • Uphold Trust values through professional behaviour, compassion, respect and commitment to service improvement.
