Our Programme Delivery Team (PDT) drives this transformation. We lead neighbourhood, acute and system‑wide programmes that bring together expertise from across Sussex providers to deliver measurable, meaningful improvements. This is a rare chance to work across organisational boundaries as part of a truly system‑first, provider‑agnostic team.

About You

You will be an exceptional, credible senior leader with:

  • Substantial experience delivering large‑scale, multi‑organisation transformation in complex health or care systems.
  • A track record of delivering measurable outcomes and driving benefits at scale.
  • Experience operating at senior system leadership levels (Place/ICS/ICB).
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and relationship‑building skills.
  • The ability to lead across organisational boundaries without direct authority.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate complex data.
  • A deep commitment to inclusive leadership, reducing inequalities and improving population outcomes.

Why Join Us?

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of integrated neighbourhood care across Sussex.

  • A highly collaborative environment working with senior leaders across all NHS providers.
  • Hybrid working with flexibility across Sussex.
  • Access to system‑wide leadership development and ongoing professional support.
  • The chance to lead real, meaningful system transformation.

As the Neighbourhood Programme Delivery Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the entire NA transformation portfolio. You will ensure that commissioning intentions for 2026/27 and beyond are successfully translated into delivery, measurable benefits and improved outcomes for high‑need populations across Sussex.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full Neighbourhood Alliance transformation programme, ensuring alignment with SPC priorities and local Place‑based plans.
  • Provide system leadership to support the evolution of ICTs into self‑organising, accountable delivery units.
  • Shape and oversee the NA‑wide delivery plans, milestones and benefits frameworks.
  • Drive delivery discipline, unblock cross‑boundary barriers and ensure whole‑system progress.
  • Oversee robust governance, risk and performance assurance into NA and SPC structures.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders across acute, community, mental health, primary care, Local Authorities and the voluntary sector.
  • Lead, support and line‑manage Delivery Managers and ICT Integrators.
  • Model system‑first, provider‑agnostic leadership and champion collaborative ways of working.

A wide range of staff benefits are available to our staff including staff development, enrolment in the NHS pension scheme, auto‑enrolment to our Temporary Workforce Service, access to onsite nurseries, staff restaurants and accommodation.
