Specialised Musculo‑Skeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist Band 6 – Fixed Term Secondment – Cross site

Following the development of our MSK collaborative under East Sussex MSK, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapist (Band 5 or Band 6) to support our MSK pathways during maternity cover. This cross‑site role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients and further develop your MSK assessment and management skills.

Position Summary

As part of the MSK team you will work alongside experienced clinicians, including advanced practitioners, the MSK Clinical Lead, Rehab Leads and the MSK Clinical Consultant. You will be central to the collaboration with other providers, driving innovation and best practice across Sussex.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Band 7, Advanced Practice MSK Physiotherapists and Rehabilitation Leads in delivering evidence‑based care pathways.
  • Participate in and provide in‑service training.
  • Supervise and support junior physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants.
  • Support student and work‑experience placements.
  • Collaborate with external providers to enhance MSK care pathways.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the embedded in‑service training programme, clinical and leadership supervision, mentoring and appraisal.

Qualifications

  • Band 5 or Band 6 physiotherapist with prior experience working with MSK patients.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in managing a wide range of MSK conditions.
  • Ability to provide supervision and support to junior staff.
  • Commitment to evidence‑based practice.
