An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy Assistant to work within our Acute Stroke service at Eastbourne District General Hospital. As part of this role you will work with a team of physiotherapists providing a high level of acute rehabilitation to the patients of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, including neurological conditions, rehabilitation on critical care and patients repatriated from major trauma centres.

Responsibilities

  • Work with physiotherapists providing acute rehabilitation to patients, including neurological conditions, critical care rehab, and patients repatriated from major trauma centres.
  • Work alongside physiotherapists and autonomously carry out exercise programmes, maintenance programmes and rehabilitation sessions planned by a physiotherapist.
  • Complete data inputting and assist with ordering of equipment through the Millbrook system to ensure timely discharge for patients across the trust.
  • Attend an in-service training programme and complete supervision sessions with your line manager.
